lle'srs. Dalgety and Comptiny, Limited, report, on their Solway snlo_ as follows:— We offered a., fair yarding of sheep and a medium entry of cattle to a good attendance of buyers. In sheen .our principal entry was a particularly moo line of 4-0 woolly hoggets, which were ottered on account of Mr. F. Brookes. Theeo. were yarded in good order, and realised top price for the year, being sdld .at 12s. 6d. In cattle our principal entry was a lino of 47 fat COT.-3, sold on account of Mr.. M. X. Hume, of "Aohonga." which, sold at £6 to £6 18s. The following is a list of praces:Sheep: Medium hoggets, 95.; good woolly ho—ets. to 12s. 6d.; empty ewes, Bs. 9d. to 10s.; fat and forward ewes, 15s. OatUe: F&t cows, £6 to £6 18s. Wednesday we conducted a very successful sale of dairy stool; on account of Mr. S. Burgess, at Bongotea. These wore well competed for, and the whole yarding was sold under the hammer. the cattle entry was ft small ono, business at auction being very dull, and only a few lots changed hands. Fat wethers, 19s. 4d.; forward store wethers, 17s. 9d.: pmall two-tooth wethers, 13s. to 13e. 6d.; fat and forward lambs, 12s. 6d.; fat owes. 14s.
