' The prices paid for butter-fat bv the various dairy companies in -this district during the month of February are as follow:—Cheltenham, UJd.; Bunnythorpe," lid.; Eongotea, lid.; Dairy Union, lid. The Cheltenham Dairy Company had 423 boxes of butter on board the Tiirakina. The Eongotea and District Chamber of Commerce has, resolved:—"That this chamber should do all. in its power to push on the extension -of ' tho ' tram way from Sandon'.to connect with tlie Government line to Marton, more especially in view of tho recent report in the papers of. the opposition to- the scheme, and that this chamber give all assistance to the Manawatu and Rangitikei County Councils in furthering tho work."
