The efforts of tho Labour parly volunteers who carried on the street campaign last Saturday resulted in approximately M names being set down for inclusion m the municipal roll, and'an equal number of signatures being added to the petition asking for a poll on the half-holi-day question.' Two moro Saturdays aio available for the collection of additional names, and the work of enrolment will be continued by tho District Labour Council officers on these days. The officials anticipate that when the petition is handed in on Friday, March 28, it will contain at least 5500 names. Petition forms already in the hands of the secretary of the District Council (11 r. L. 11. •V. itearden) bear 1800 signatures,
