THE "TRIUMPH" STILL ON TOP.'. , Tho Christchurcli-KaikoUra-and-back record still stands to the credit of Mr G. B. Brown and his full roadster "Triumph,", and tho now record mado last Thursday has been buried almost as soon as it was horn under the crushing weight of two hours and tw'enty-one minutes. The principal features of Mr, G. B. Brown's, great ride on Saturday havo been given full publicity. On Bth February he rodo alone. Some capital was' made out of the fact that on ft previous occasion ho was accompanied by nnother rider, and, though the precedent thus set has been followed in the subsequent attempts upon the record bv r,lders of machines other than the "Triumph," Mr. Broivn decided to demonstrate his faith in "Triumph" reliability by riding alone. Ho rode the samo'fitll roadster threespeed "Triumph" as ho rodo when ho established the record on January 17.' The only difference in the conditions was that he knew the road. It must be remembered that this' Christchurch-Knikoura. rid? was suggested by "Triumph" competitors presumably as a course on which their machine? had a better flhahce against the "Triumph" than any other. The coum evidently dofs suit their machine—when their machine is joinj well—but it quit* as evidently suits th« "Triumph" junt as well, mid a i;reat deal better. So the result of this little sportin* controversy has Iwen to establish the "Triumph" as the best "cross-country" motor-cycle, as well as the best sne.ed machine, the best i machine for reliability, and the best for 'hill-climbin;. Ths latest "Triumphs" are now to hand; prices: fixed engine, .tl(\; free oncinc. ' JJSO; throe-speed. Mi ins. Adii'i's, Limited,, Chnslchureli. Branches, Wniifranui, 'I'almefsloii North.
