To carry out tho proposals and commemorate Lord Lister's worth in a suitable manner, a largo sum will be required, and it ispw--1 posed to iorm committees in tho provinces, iii the dependencies of the: Empire, and in foreign countries, to : ~tike suck steps as are necessary in order,to co-ordinato the collection, of subscriptions.: A subscription for 3s. 6d. was accompanied by this message: "I am delighted to givo my little mito to tho Lister momonal. 1 only wish I could afford more. I cannot feel too grateful for all the dear good man did for me." This was from, a poor woman who never ceasss telling of the "unbounded kindness and help" sho received from Lord Lister about the year 1880, when in hospital. Donations may.bo sent to the "Treasurers of tho Lister Memorial Fund, Koyal Society, Burlington House, W., London." - !
