A DANGEROUS BRIDGE.
WAIRARAPA TRAFFIC OBSTRUCTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Carterton, December 29. The dangerous condition of tho Waiohino Bridge, rendering it necessary to prohibit any traffic across it; has given rise to some amount of inconvenience, but measures taken by the authorities to warn tho public, and. notify, the •• necessity of using the Mntaraua and Maungaterua Bridges, minimised it as far as possible. A meeting of the two bodies interested— the Wairarapa South County Council and the Featherston County Council—will bo held at the bridge on Monday morning. In the meantime, efforts are being mads to get suitable timber to effect temporary repairs, but such Umber is not readily available.,
