It was reported on December 25 that after an offioial in the State Savings Bank, had counted -JSISO, consisting of 100 single notes and' five ten-pound' notes, turned Tound, a hand was immediately stretched overthe counter, and; seized the notes. It was the busiest period of the day, and the bank was crowded.
