Edinburgh, was attempting a Tecord non-stop flight and was travelling at 70 miles an hour, when .'a gale threatened to blow him out to sea.
.He made a desperate effort to regain a northerly course, when suddenly he threw,up.his hands, and the aeroplane crashed-to the earth.
