It is reported that Reginald Crisp, aged 23, who was recently a signature clerk in the Savings Bank, is to receive ■£750,000 and expenses, which are very heavy, from an American syndicate for a patent revolutionising cool storage. It is claimed for the invention that it abolishes the necessity of 'costly refrigerating machinery, • and that it is possible through it to carry fruit and other perishable goods any distance under any circumstances. It is stated the invention is on tho vacuum principle.
