RIFLE SHOOTING.
: THE UPPER HUTT CLUB. On Saturday the Upper Hutt Rifle Club : continued its competition for trophies presented by Messrs. T. M. Wilkie and W. Greig. The scores also counted for the aggregates. On Saturday last members of the Hau-tei-e Rifle Club fired the. first competition for the Fresh 'Food Cup. Weather con.ditions were far from favourable, and in fact during'the early : part of the day it appeared that members would have to fire in the rain. However, the weather cleared somewhat about noon, but the wind, which was very changeable and tricky, varying from five degrees left to twelve degrees right, more than counterbalanced the passing of the rain.
