THE NEW GOVERNOR.
HIS MOVEMENTS UNCERTAIN. Although the Governor-designate, Earl of Liverpool, is due to arrive in Now Zealand within the next fortnight, no ono here knows exactly when and where he will land. At present he is on the Malwa, which' will touch at Adelaide ipiobabLy some time to-day. At first it was supposed that he would come on by the Malwa to Auckland, and come dowa to Wellington by train, but it is more than possible tha/t he will .com© on from Sydney by an intercolonial steamer to yollington. The principal reason for this ia that the Governor of New-Zealand mustbe sworn in at the seat of ■ Government, and Lord Liyerpool may prefer to be made Governor as soon as possible aften his arrival.
