The whole of the playing surface has been levelled off and top-dressed, and now presents-- a very attractive appearance.. The games ■set doivn are most interesting,, the fixture between the two unbeaten ..teams— Eipt A and North—being specially so. East A have , victories over Petone and South to their credit—the former a threepoint one—and North have defeated Central and Petone, in each case on the first innings. .East A are therefore leading by one point.
