MAHENO'S EXPEOTED ARRIVAL. By wireless last evening the Union Co.'s .steamer Mahono advised that she wae expected to arrive at Auckland from Sydney ait 7 a.m. to-morrow. The southern portion of hsr mails should therefore reach Wellington by Monday afternoon's Main Trunk express. SURREY'S DEPARTURE DELAYED. The F. and S. Line's stoa-mer Surrey was to have left WeUington for Avonmouth, via Las Palmas, yesterday afternoon. During the day, however, a mishap occurred in the vessel's engine-room. It is anticipated that' the necessary repairs will take a couple of days to complete. In consequence 6f this, the Surrey' 6 departure from Wellington has been postponed until daybreak on. A fow cases of fish were landed at Lyttelton, the balance being for Wellingcharters include the barque Joseph Craig, 694 tons. She is to take general cargo from Melbourno to Auckland. The Maorilaiid Steamship Oompany s Holmdalo is to bring a cargo Of coal from Newcastle to Napier. The Oceanic Steamship Oompany s Ventura left San Francisco at 2 p.m. on Novoniber 19 for Sydney. She is due at the. New South Wales port on December 9, and,' has 2500-tons, of assortod cargo on boart for that port. The steamor's passenger accommodation waß fully taken up. The Union Company's collier Whangape arrived at Wellington from Newcastle yesiorday morning, and borthea nt tho R<ulway Wharf to discharge. The trip across the Tasmaii Sea was accompamcd by fine weather. On completion of discharge here the Whangape proceeds to Newcastle to load again for New Zealand.
