The first of a series of shooting matches inaugurated by fcho Northland School Committee was fired on Saturday lastat Northland, the contesting teams being the Northland School Committee team and the Northland Citizens' team. The former team displayed more skill with the rifle than their opponents, nnd won by a comfortable margin, the aggregates being 321 and 209 respectively. Til© principal scorers for the winning side* were Thomson (20), Eton (27), and G. Gnpes (2G), while for the losers the highest were Rankin (30), Churchouso (2-1), and J. Gapes (23).
