SENSATIONAL BOLT.

COACE WRECKED AND HORSE i KILLED. ' j (By Telograpli.—Press Association.) Tauranga, November 23. A sensational bolt occurred here this afternoon. The Rotorua five-horse mail coach had delivered tho mails, and was driving round tho building when it'encountered a new drain which was being made'. Ono of tho leaders got over the traccs, and started kicking, and the team was out on the road like a Hash. They struck tho nearest telegraph post, releasing ono leader, and another post set tho socond horse free. A third post struck the coach fair, and wrecked it, leaving only 0110 horse. Tho driver and another man were hurled into the road, ono of them being much cut about. One of the frightened horses galloped on tho footpath, knocking a verandah post over, turning the corner into the Strand. Near the Star Hotel a buggy and pair were standing. Tho horso attempted to jump tho buggy, but caught the wheel and upset tho trap, emptying the driver out. Tho horse injured itself so furiously that it died in a few minutes. To spectators it was simply marvellous that no one was killed. The impact of the coach was such that it shifted tho telegraph pole two inches and broke the wire.
