POLICE CASES. (Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.)' .' Jessie Burns was sentenced to six "months' imprisonment on charges of being on habitual inebriate and an incorrigible rogue. Samuel Mbrtimeirj Who dflserted the steamer lonic on August 7, was sentenced . to one month's imprisonment. Alfred Edward Laney was fined £2 for having disobeyed a maintenance order. CIVIL BUSINESS. ■ > (Before Dr. M'Arthur, S.M.) . AN ARCHITECT'S CLAIM, j Dr. M'Arthur, S.M,, gave judgment in the case in which E. M. Blake, architect,, Wellington, proceeded against tho Publifc Trustee, as executor of the. estate of A. •H. V. Lodder, claiming .£llO. The amount -was said to be due for the preparation of plans and specifications for houses to be erected at Lower Hutt. His Worship allowed plaintiff .£SO on his claim.
