The offer of Mr. Jacob Watriama, who claims to be King of the loyalty Islands, to place tho group under the control of tho Commonwealth, was referred to in the House of Representatives yesterday. Mr. Fisher, Prime Minister, said, the. "islands were of comparatively small importance to New Caledonia, of which they are tit present a dependency, but would be valuable to the Government. The Government would, further consider their inclusion when a favourable - opportunity presented itself. «
