Mr. Lloyd-George has been asked in the House of Commons whether, owing to tho decision in Mr. T. Gibson Bowles's law suit, that income tax could not bo deducted from dividends until the Finance Act for tho year had been passed, the Government would refund the moneys so collected. The Chanoqllor, in reply, stated that the Government was legislating With a view to dealing with the new. situation.
