N.Z.'CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. ; THE OFFICIAL PROGRAMME. 'An advance copy of the official prbgrammo for the 1813 New Zealand Rifle Championship meeting at Trentham is to hand from Colonel'E. 3. E.Roaohe (Fifth Regiment, Wellington), up tohnd inoluding Thursday, February'.M next. .'The conditions affecting rifle matohesha've been revised, >and .as-far as possible brought into line with, .the.'principles governing' military rifle competitions, so as to conform with strict railitary'requirements based on conditions obtaining on active service. : iAa for'last year, the events of the ing are classified in three sections. The A- series consists-of seven events, and under service conditions—a regimental teams match-at 300, 600, and GOO yards; ah: ''Observ.Htion and Mutual Assistance" match at 300 and 400 yards; casualty competition; Islington Cup match; the C.A.O. Cup match; competition in, "su-perior-.tyof fire"; and a teams' ohampion-: ship, decided on the aggregate, points scored in the before-mentioned ,; events, ■which are open to members of the Territorial Force, senior cadets, and rifle clubs. 'Teams ''will consist of one commander (not to be above the. rank of N.C.0., or president of a rifle club) and six men. In all matches points will be awarded for the practical" fulfilment of the idea and conditions of the competition from .a military point of-view. . ;Tho B series'of matches is compnlsory ion all competitors'up to 80 years of age..
