MILKING MACHINE. Legal arguraont was heard yesterday in the case in which J. B. MacEwan and Co Ltd., Wellington, claimed £16 3s. Bd. from W. R. Goodrick, farmer, Feilding, for hire and insurance of a milking machine and for accessories to the, milking plant. The rate of hire was £20 per Goodrick counter-claimed for ifilCO Ho stated that the machine had failed to milk his cows, although plaintiffs had warranted that it would perform its work satisfactorily.- The efteet of the machine's' failure had been .to dry off the cows soveral months earlier than usual, through which, he said, he had sustained monetary loss. Ho therefore claimed £100 damages, and he sued for the return of his deposit of £60. Mr F G. Dalzioll appeared for the plaintiffs', and Mr. T. N. Holmden for the defendant. ■ .
