SWIFTS CLUB MEETING. Tho annual meeting of Swifts Swimming Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. building last evening. Mr. AV. Kkogg prosiding. Tho election of officers resulted as follows;— President, Atr. Jenkinson; vico-captain, Jlr. J. Martin; secretary, Mr. 'I'. Woodcock; treasurer, Mr. A. 31. Smithi; committee, Messrs. E. Vango, P. Wilton, H. K. Johnston, G. S. Clarke, and C. V. Fordham; handicappers, 11. Jenkiuson and A. M. Smith; auditor, Mr. l'\ J. Courtenay; starter and time-keeper, Jlr. W. Power; check starter, Mr. 11. Lamb; delegates to Wellington Centre, .Messrs. F. Wilton and J. Martin. Messrs. W. Skegg and A. H. Stevenson woro clected life members of the club. The meeting approved of the proposal of tho Wellington Centro to impose a lov.v of (id. each per annum on members, for the purpose of building up a fund, in order to send a representative swimmer to tho Olympic Sports. A presentation of a. fountain pen was made to Mr. F. Wilton, who is relinquishing tho office of captain. The balance-sheet showed n credit bnlanco of X!) odd.
