London, October 18. The House of Commons is continuing consideration of tho Home Rule Bill in Committee.
Mr. Hayes Fisher (Unionist) moved an amendment providing that while Ireland should Ijo free with regard to internal taxation, it should be prevented from exploiting Imperial taxation.
The amendment was rejected. Mr. J. Calhcart Wason opposed the control of tho Customs and exciso by tho Irish Parliament,
A vigorous debate followed on tho proposal to establish a separate Irish postal system, which was carried by a majority of 19, after the Attorney-General, Sir Rufus Isaacs, had given an assuraneo tliat control of the Irish post office in war time could bo secured to tho Imperial Parliament by an Order-in-Council.
Sir Edward Carson, tho Irish Unionist leader, ridiculed tho statement that an Order-in-Council could givo control of tho Irish telegraphs in war time. Ho taunted the Government with giving a quarter of a million to Ireland to establish a local postal system,
