EMPRESS THEATRE.
At the Empress Theatre (formerly the Adelphi), to open as a continuous picture palace to-morrow evening, under the direction of Mr. J. I). Williams (of the Greater J. p. Williams Amusement Co., Ltd.), a striking innovation will be the doing away with the darkness hitherto associated with picture shows. The andi. torium will be lighted during the performances by the soft glow of hidden lights. This new system is now to be seen in all other parts of tho world, and it does not interfere with the brilliancy of the pictures. Attractive travel, industrial, scientific, aftd natural history subjects will appear regularly. The reduction of the price of admission to the stalls to 3 pence promises to be immediately popular. The opening of the Empress Theatre to-morrow evening is expected to attract a crowded assemblage.
