Agent-General ' for South Australia, in giving evidence before the Empire Trade Commission, explained, .fully the South Australian emigration system, and detailed file arrangements for the carriage of domestic servants, which, he said, were equal, if not superior, to those of any other country. Mr. Kirkpatrick also gave- particulars of tho operations of unscrupulous private emigration agents. IMPERIAL BOARD SUGGESTED. (Ecc. October 16, 11.85 p.m.) London, October IG. Sir Kinloch Cooke, in, testifying before the Empire Trade Commission, recommended the creation of an Imperial Emigration Board and ,tlie linking up of the Labour Exchanges of the Motherland and the Dominions.
