The House of Commons was crowded during tho debate, which was at times very acrimonious, on the subject of the allocation of time for discussion of the Homo Rule Bill. Mr. Bonar Law (Leader of the Oppo'' sition) and Mr. Lloyd George (Chancellor of the Exchequer) were particularly acrimonious during their references to Ulster. Mr. Churchill (First Lord of the Admiralty) and Mr. Austen Chamberlain also spoke. An amendment moved by Mr. Bonar Law declining to restrict tho debate on a Bill of such importance, was rejeoted by 323 votes against 232.
