Avenue, one of the principal thoroughfares of the city, scattering automobilists, who sought safety in all direcexcitement caused 'the upsetting of ■■ a launch on Lake Michigan; eight persons being flung into the water. A tug rescned them. Two hydroplanes capsized simultaneously, the occupants having a narrow escape.
