Messages have been received from various chiefs pledging , their support against the Pretender El Hiba, whose exactions are causing his influence to wane.
General Mangin, with 4500 men, is expected to reach Marakesh on Saturday. Advices from Tangier state that the "disaffected Zuer tribes attacked Colonel Blonrelat's column, but were repulsed with considerable loss.
