Two leases for terms of 32 years in the Boulia district, totalling 796 square miles, have been taken up by one applicant at 12s. per square mile. Boulia is about 1350 miles insland from Brisbane ' and 193 miles distant from Clancurry. The surrounding country is described by- the "Australasian Handbook" as "magnificent grazing country, chiefly stocked with cattle." Many of the stations around exceed 3000 eqijare miles in area. Water is obtained by sinking at an average depth of 30 feet.
