As a littto corroborative proof of this assertion lot us consider the "Triumph" record- in ths British Tourist Trophy Hace. As every motor-cyclist knows, tho Tourist Trophy event is the classic event in motor-cycling. It carries with it the blue ribbon of motor-cycledom. In 11)11 it filled the iir>i four places, and in the 1912 event," run last .lune at the Isle of Man, tho "Triumph" scored first, second, third, fourth, and fifth places.. In each case the "Triumph" was pitted against the best machines the other motor-cycle manufacturers could produce. On each occasion tho "Triumph" gained an overwhelming- victory.
