This being our third crutching salo of thpijsca&on, "our catalogue comprised 60, bales, which sold under very keen competition at last sale's rates. Our offerings of skins, and hides were also fairly large, and prices maintained present market value. Owing to a large Quantity of crutchings being kept back through the rough weather, we have decided to make our next sale Friday, September 13, a special crutching sale, when we expect to offer a large catalogue, as well as the usual lots of skins and hides. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., (Palmerston North) report:—We held our usual monthly eale on Friday, and offered a catalogue comprising 80 bales aud bogs wool, 2100 sheep ekins, 530 calf skins, 400 hides, tallow, etc., to a good attendance of buyers. Bidding was not very spirited, although the prices realised may be con-' sidered satisfactory. We sold the whole of our catalogue. Mr. Hugh Eoberts (Feildinc) reports as follows:—At the usual monthly sale held on Fridav a catalogue of 30 bales and 50 bags wool, 1500 sheep.skins, 200 hides and calf skins, 2 casks and 150 tins of tallow, and usual sundries was offered to a large and representative attendance of buyers. The bulk of tho wool offering was crutchings. for which competition wno- keen, good medium crutchings. making up to' 6Jd. per. lb. In sympathy with outside markets skins showed an. advance of. a- farthing, and hides were easier by lis. Bd. toi id. per lb.
