The meeting has been prompted by the rovelations in the Rosenthal case. Tho police believe they have obtained tho revolver from which Rosenthal was shot. ' THOROUGH INQUIRY ORDERED. (Rec. August 5, 11.23 p.m.) New York, August 5. Police Commissioner Waldo has recommended a thorough investigation of the charges regarding the connection of the police with the gamblers. Waldo alleged that the Courts practically protected gamblers, who do much by corruption at election work to place judges on benches.
