DUNEDIN COMPETITITIONS SOCIETY.
The Dunedin Competitions Society's eleventh annual festival will bo held in His* Majesty's Theatre from September 25 to October 12 (inclusive), and promises to bs most successful. The committee liavo' again secured the services of two excellent judges from Australia, Professor Jlacullv, M.A., LL.B., (Trinity College, Dublin), lieing tlie elocutionary ndju(l ; cator, while Professor C. Helleman, of Sydney, will judge the musical items. An. excellent syllabus has been arranged, and a record entry is assured. Several new items have been, added to this year's syllabus, the principal being a school choir contest, Swedish drill and figure marching for Boy' Scouts, photography, and character dialogue. The committee arc offering JG3OO in prise money, and among - the special Srizes is a scholarship presented by theresden riauo Company for the winner of the piano solo (15 years and under), entitling the successful competitor to one year's free tuitions-teacher to bo selected by tho winner.
