Spencer, whose name is well known in Wellington Rugby, is engaged in active warfare once more. Ho is now playing in Gisborno. In a letter to a local enthusiast, lie states that he had been doing some refereeing in Gisbonie, but since then lias arrayei himself in (ho colours of a Gisborne club, and is now 'playing tho game with a will. Ho adds that tho representative selector Las asked him to get into training, as there is a possibility of his being wanted for a pending representative match. The selector is an ex-Poneko player.
