By Tclcurapli-Prcss Aesocintion-Oopyrielit Washington, July 28. _ The Democrats and United Progressives in the House of Representatives are passing the Democratic Excise Tax Kill, to which, is attached an amendment for tlio repeal of the Canadian reciprocity provision. The. printing paper tax, abolished when-reciprocity was adopted, is re-estab-lished. An amendment providing for a non-partisan Tariff Commission to replace tho Taft Tariff Board has also been adopted. Tho Senate passed tho Canadian Reciprocity measure and 'adopted the Sugar Bill, cutting down the duty by 30 conts and abolishing the duty on sugar known as "refined differential."
