Messrs. Dalfecty and Co.. Ltd., state that at their usual fortnightly sale at Jlillor's Road, Dannevirke, on Friday last, only a small entry of both sheep and cattle came forward, due to tho continued spell of bad weather. There was a large attendance of buyers, and bidding was.animated throughout. We have to report a total clearance of a.ll linos well ub to late rates. We quote:—Fat lambs, 145.; mixed sex hoEKets. 12s. 3d.; cull lambs, Ss. Bd.: 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 18s.; empty ewes, 11s.; a line of 36 3-ycar-old bullocks made £6 165.; dairy cows (poor quality), £5 ss. to £5 17s. 6d. Messrs. Dnlgcty and Company, Ltd., Waiißanui, report having- hold a clearing tale, in conjunction with the New Zealand Lonn and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Deduced, Tlawcra. on account of Mr. S. R. Ilcslop, Waverley. on July 22. There was a Rood attendance o£ buyers, and the sale was one of the most successful yet held in the district, the cows all coming forward in first-class condition, and meeting with a ready dcmantT, the average prico realiEed being £9 7s. 61 per head. Messrs. Dalgety and Company. Ltd., Wangamii. report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Wnnga-nni, on Wednesday, July 24, when they had a Rood yarding of sheep, and a fair entry of cattle. Owing to the very rough weather just previous to nnd during the sale, the stock was not looking a.l its best, hut the nt; tendance of buyers w.ns /rood, notwithstanding.
