The largest crane in the world has been erected at GovanJ on the Clyde, for tho • FairaeM shipjWs. On slow gear it will raise 200 tons at a distance or 75ft. from the mast, and on quick gear it will carry a load of- 100 tons at 133 ft. extension. The foundations of the crane consist of four large tubes, 15ft. through at the base, filled with concrete and sunk 74ft. below the surface. :
