At a meeting of the Dunedin branch of the New Zealand Railway Officers' Institute, a resolution was carried expressing indignation at the failure of tho Minister for Railways to give effect to tho recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee who inquired into the complaints of the I'irst Division, referred to in a petition presented to Parliament last year. The meeting regarded the failure to carry out the recommendations of the Railways Committee as a distinct bleach of faith on the part of the Government, and strongly expressed the opinion that by so doing it would increase Uie discontent and dissatisfaction already prevailing throughout the service.
