I'a'ye,--core-,.,, and quarter the apples, and boil tlieiii' in a syrup made from sugar and ssater : . in the above proportions. When, soft lift, them out on a sieve to drain. Sbry.e tlifi rice and apples in a glass-dish with', bailed , custard.
