APPEAL IN MORAN CASE FAILS. By,Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, May 28. The Federal High Court, in a majority judgment, dismissed an appeal by the Australians Widows' Fund against the decision in tho action brought by the National Mutual Life Company to recover .€SOOO. The National Mutual Life Company insured a man named Moran, who was reinsured in the Widows' Fund. When Moran died the National Company settled the'claim, but tho Widows Fund refused lo pay the reinsurance money, on the ground that the statements in deceased's proposal for insurance were untrue. At the first trial the jury found-that some of Moran's statements wero contrary to fact, and judgment was entered for the Widows' Fund. Then tho National Mutual Life Company appealed to the Full Court, which reversed the finding, and the Widows' Fund carried its appeal to the High Court.
