The trial of Walter Richard .Sadler on a charge of unlawfully using an instrument with intent to procure a miscarriage, was commenced. The. Crown evidence was similar to that given in tho Lower Court. The defence was that His Act was one of indecency only. Xo instrument was used, and there was no intention to commit tho crime charged. The trial is unfinished.
Duncdin, May U. At tha criminal sitting-of the Supreme Court to-day, Susan Miller Wilson was found guilty of performing nn illegal operation. Sentence was deferred. A youth named Claude Osmnmt Harkcr was ordered to come up foi sentence whon called on for stealing a mofor bicycli , , and Peter Henry Greig nml James Alexander Greijf wore sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment and placed on probation for twelve months respectively for the (heft of timber.
