Berlin, May 13. A man closely resembling Gamier, the French motor bandit, was arrested after a desperate strugglo in Berlin. He is being detained pending inquiries. PRICE OF OPIUM ADVANCED. Singapore, May 13. The Government has advanced tho price of opium by 15 per cent., this making an increase of over 50 per cent, in twenty, nine months. The purpose of the increase is to reduce the consumption of the drug. FRIENDLY SOCIETY'S PROTEST. Sydney, May I*.
