ELECTRIC LIGHTING.
A CREDIT BALANCE OF XG2B3. Operations in the Electric Lighting Department for tho year ended March 1)1, 1912, resulted in a credit balance of JJG2S3 being carried to the balance-sheet. The surplus from the net revenue account was ,£B93S, as compared with £i3ii 'for the Tear 1910-11. Appropriations in 1911-12 totalled £M'oi, and in 1910-11, £1002. The credit balanco transferred to the balance-' sheet on March 31, 1911, was .£313, an amount exceeded, for the year just ended, by nearly £6000. Revenue Account. Tho appropriation account shows the expenditure of a sum of .£21151 in renewals of plant, repairs, amounts writ toil oft', etc., leaving a balance of .-CliStiU to bo transferred to the balance-sheet. Balancs-Shect. The balance-sheet shows a total capital expenditure of .C;ilifl,s!)3. A credit balance oi ,ililT2 lias brought forward from the previous year and the balance for 1011-12 brings tip the total credit: balance on the capital account to .£13,153.
