Wedding at St. Thomas's. On Wednesday a pretty choral wedding took place at St. Thomas's Church, when Miss Annio Sewell, daughter of Mrs. Sowell, Ellico Street, was married by tho llev. W. Fancourt, to Mr. John Shearer, of Okaiawa. The bride,-who was given away by her brother, wore a gown of ivory duchess satin trimmed with lace and pearls, also a veil and wreath of orange blossoms, which had been worn by her mother. She carricd a shower boufiuet. Tho bridesmaids were Hiss Jessie Sewell and Miss Agues Shearer, who worn cream delaine dresses and hats trimmed with red-shaded ribbon, and carried bouquets of autumn flowers. Mr. Clifford Smith was best mail, and Mr. Alf. Sewell groomsman. The bride received many valuable presouts, including chorines anil a silver jug, suitably inscribed, from the choir, ot which she was a member, and a sot of furs from tho bridegroom, who gave a gold brooch and a bangle to the bridesmaids. was married to Mr. W. S. Bellamy, of Devonshire, England. The Rev. Mr. Askew officiated. The brido wore a simple but graceful gown of ivory armure silk, lace and pearl trimmings, and woro a long tulle veil and coronal of orange blossom. Her bouquet was of white cosiness and maidenhair fern, and sho wore tho bridegroom's gift of a beautiful diamond bungle. Miss A. Baxter Wilson, the only bridesmaid, was in ivory crepe do chine, trimmed with pearl insertions, and a largo black hut, with pink roses and white ospreys. She carried a bouquet- of pink cosnieas and maidenhair l'ern,'und; her gift from tho bridegroom' was a pearl and diamond brooch. Mr. G. Corrigan was best man. Th-s bride's mother wore a handsome dress of browu nilk, uith garnitures ol Oriental embroidery. She wore a becoming black hat, with black plumes, and carried a shower bouquet of brown chr\. santhemums and autumn leaves. Kiddiford, black costume, furs, and a large black plumed hat; tho Mayoress, Mrs. M'Laren, brown striped costumo and brown velvet toquo 'with brown feathers; Mrs. Laurenson, grey costume and grey hat; Mrs. J. Duthie, black velvet coat and skirt, braided, ermine furs, and a black hat with saxe-blue wings; Mrs, Tringham, grey costume, furs, and a white hat with a green and white bird; Mrs. Chapman, navy blue coat and skirt, furs, and a black hat with plumes; Miss Chapman, grey, with an amythest hat; Miss L. Bird, "cream costumo and pretty hat to match; Mrs. L. H. B. Wilson, vedgewood blue costume and pale bluo hat; Miss Skerrett, black satin costume, fur coat, and small green hat with green plumes; Mrs. \V. Turnbull, black satin meteor costume, with black and whito striped revers, black hat Willi white wings; Mrs. La Trobe, black coat and skirt and black plumed hat; Mrs. P. Nathan, dark navy bluo with old gold appliques on the collar and revers, furs, and a black beaver hat with deep bluo and green satin clusters of fruit; Mrs. Heard, black satin meteor coat and skirt and largo black hat; Sirs. Litchfield, grey costume ind black and whito toque; Miss Litchfield, dark navy blue coat and skirt, and black hat with, blue; Miss Monica Buiuiv, navy blue, and blue and green hat; Mrs. J. Perry (Mnsterkm), blown costume and brown hat; Mrs. Shirtclift'e, violet coat and skirt, and black' hat with touches of violet; Mrs. Chatfield, dark bluo striped costume and block hat with black plumes; Mrs. Tucher, in black, and black hat with plumes; Mrs. Salmoiri, amythest frock and black toquo.

Friends of Mrs. Kiely will bo pleased ! to hear that her husband was elected 1 mayor of Ohakune by a largo majority. Mrs. A. W. Gould, of Ohakune, with her little son and maid, left for Auckland by tho Main Trunk on Friday, to say good-byo to her sister, Mrs. t Black, wlio is leaving on an extended visit to Europe. Mr. S. Pearson and Mrs. Pearson, with their littlo son, returned to Wellington last evening from Vancouver ' and San Francisco. x Mrs. J. Perry (Sulphur Wells) is visiting Wellington. Mrs. D. Brown leaves Wellington for New Plymouth to-day, her husband having been appointed manager of tho A.M.F. there. Dr. Hugh Douglas, of Hamilton, and Mrs. Douglas, aro on. a brief visit to Wellington. Mrs. M'Dougnll, of Pirinoa, and Miss M'Dougnll left for Sydney yesterday, wliero they will probably spend tho next two months. The Rev. Mr. Douglas and Mrs. Douglas, who have been visiting t'lieir sons in New Zealand, left for Syduey yesterday en route fot England. Mrs. T. S. Williams, Miss Eva_ Williams, nml Mr. Harold Williams, of Poverty Bay, leave by tho Keiuucra next Thursday. Weddings.—Shower Bouquets for brides and bridesmaids. Only the choicest of Flowers used.
