YELLOW FOR BEAUTY.
-According to the great fashion authorlty, the only colour likely to rival the ever-popular black and white so clear to the heart of .Paris i 3 yellow, from the tawniest orange to the palest primrose. Yellow sorgo suits do not sound convincing, but no one knows what miracles of chic iuay. not result from a few happy additions in tho way of charming buttons and a delightful collar in old embroidery and lace. And as for yellow satin, it was always a thing of beauty. Does not Oscar Wilde say somewhere that 110 sorrow 011 earth could withstand the artistic satisfaction of beholding a piece of yellow satin? This may be going a trifle far, but the yellows of the coming spring senson will be lovely enough (0 deserve almost such fervent praise. As flic manufacturers cannot invent new stuffs, they lavish , all their science on the texture and the dyes. The combrc, harshly-felted materials of the winter are out of favour; instead .we shall-..see radiantly-coloured and exquisitely smooth stuffs which, in spite of an apparent simplicity, will cost more than ever. * •
