MEN'S BROTHERHOOD.
SECOND ANNUAL BEPOIiT. The second annual report of the committee of the Wellington City Men's Brotherhood states, inter alia, that the year just ended has been one of interest and progress. Tho removal into new quarters was a successful change,. the attendances increasing. The sneakers (luring the year have been of splendid quality. The musical part of the year's programme (given by willing volunteers) was excellent, and has certainly assisted the Brotherhood in attaining success. "Two years have almost pnssed," continues the report, "since (he Brotherhood was born in Wellington, and, during this period, tho committee, and members have been alive to their responsibilities. The most important undertaking has been that of the ippointment o£ Sister Mildred, who has been engaged'for twelve months to work amongst the sick and needy. Tho result of her labour alone docs immense credit to the Brotherhood, and, with God's blessing, wo hope to continue to assist (hepoor and to visit the sick. The position to-day is, that your executive have promised to be responsible for Sister Mildred's stipend, an undertaking that we feel sure,voii will readily confirm. "The celebration of, the Brotherhood's second anniversary was held in the New Theatre, the building proving by far too small for the occasion. The Mayor of Wellington (Mr. T. M. Wilford) occupied tho chair, and made a splendid appeal to the largo audience for financial assistance, in order to enable tho Brotherhood to proceed with the scheme of engaging a sister. At tliis meeting Mr?. Blamires won many friends for the Brotherhood by her touching appeal on behalf of (he sick and poor of our city.
