YOUNG WOMAN'S STRANG E DEATH.

The mysterious death of a young woman named Clarice Barker is reported. She was walking home to the Cllebo m company with a man named William Gilchrist, when two men accosted them. One asked Gilchrist what ho was doing with his wife. Gilchrist replied Hint ho did not know tho woman was married.
Barker thou proceeded with tho strangers. Gilchrist watched them, and saw them stop outside a vacant allotment. Tho woniau later climbed over a fence and walked off in tho darkness. A few minutes afterwards one of tho men followed and quickly reappeared. He spoko to his companion, aud both hurried away. Gilchrist went in search of Barker, and found her dead body at the bottom of a dry storm-water channel. The only mark of violence on tho body was a fractured wrist.
