Wcstport, April 10, iho Westport Coal Companv received a demand to-day from the Engine-drivers' v Union at Denniston for an assistant to'bo placed with the drivers in charge of the engines driving (he fans at Hie mines, but refused the. demand. The Miners Union thereupon notified the company that they would take to-morrow oil to consider the position. Consequently tho Denniston section of the company's mines will be idle to-morrow.
