» . • MAIL TRAIN DERAILED. Telegraph-Press Associatlon-OopyriclH (Rec. April 7, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 6. An entire mail train, while, travelling at a speed of 50 miles an hour, was derailed at Stockton-on-Tees. It ploughed the permanent-way for a quarter of a mile before being brought to a standstill on the edge of a precipitous embankment. Tho carriages were not overturned. The passengers were shaken, but not injured. ENGINE EXPLODES: TWO MEN KILLED. New York, April 5. An engine drawing a freight train, at JRoseburg, Oregon, exploded, wrecking the cars and damaging the track. Tho engineer and fireman were killed. Others on the train escaped. The engine left the track, which is a mass of twisted iron.
