ANNUAL MEETING. . • (By Telesrapli.—Special Correspondent.) Palmerston, April. 4. The annual meeting of the I'almerston branch of the Farmers' Union was held to-day, Mr. .1. Balsillie presiding. . The chairman's report .was read and adopted.. The secretary reported that- the receipts for the year totalled ;fc!j 2s. Gd., and the expenditure .£32 lfls. M-., leaving a credit balance of £Z 3s. 3:1.. ■• -The following officers were "elected:— Chairman, Mr. J. Wingate: vice-chair-man, Mr. It.'Bryan; committeo,, Messrs. J. Balsillie, H. J. A. Barter, A. Farmer, Captain Hewitt, A. Harding, A. Mathieeou, I'. Maule, and I!. Gardner: secretary and ti-easursr, Mr. Vi. Hunter; auditor, Mr. Ncilsen. ■
