THEREFORE, tho Wellington City Council, in pursuance and oxrrcifw of the powers vested in it by "Tho Municipal Corporations Act, IMS," and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order, To accept a eurrendor of the said lease, Registered No. 67360, in so far as tho samo affects tho said Sections 11"j, 116, and 117 Lambton Reclamation, subject to the said sub-lease, Registered No. 82370, and to grant a new lease of tho said lands to tho surrenderors for the unexpiral portions of the term of years created by the said Deed of Lease. Registered Xo. 07360, at the rcntnl ond upon tho terms and conditions following:— < 1. The prefont rental shall be increased from '£<& lGs. per annum to .£IOO6 lGs. 9d. per annum, payable in advance as herein after , provided for tho balance of the term created by the said Deed of Lease, such new Lease to run from (ho Ist day of May, 1912, the first payment of rent, X 177 16s. <kl., is to be paid on tho execution of the lease. The rent thereafter is to bo payable in three halfvearlv instalments of .£533 Bs. 4d. on Ist July," 1912, Ist January, 1913, and Ist July, 1914. 2. The new lease shall contain a covenant for the granting of renewals of the said lease in perpetuity at an annual rental to be fixed by valuation of the full and improved ground rental of the said premises that ought to lie payable durin? isucli new term without taking into consideration the value of any buildings or improvements (hen pxistin? on the demised premises, for successive periods of fourteen years, and such lease shall contain tho same covenants mutatis mutandis as are contained in lease , ; of the To Am Reclamation, now granted by the Wellington City Corporation. 3. The said lease shall contain.a covenant for the insertion of a covenant in the first renewal of the said lease in 1915, Imt in no other renewal to build) on the said land within eighteen mouths of (lie expiration'of the term of the said new lease, a building of at least three stories in height, in compliance with tho By-laws for (he time being in force in the City of Wellington. 4. The said new lease shall contain covenants by the Surrenderors to do all things necessary to keep in force tho Hotel License granted in respect of the existing hotel on the said premises as shall be required by ths City Solicitor. 5. The Surrenderors shall pay all ths costs connected with the grouting of the said new lease, including the cost of nrcparing aud advertising this Special Order. 6: The terms of the raid new lease shrill be fixed by the City Solicitor. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER, NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council, held on tho 2nd day of April, 1912, the following Resolution was passed:— The Wellington City Council hereby makes by Special Order, the following By-law under mid by virtue of and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in it by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," and in pursuance and exercise of every other authority nwl power if any enabling it in that behalf. The short title of this Bylaw is "Tho Wellington City By-law, No. H (Butchers' Shops), 1912." The object and purport of such By-law arc:— '
To prescribe (he method of construction of the front and walls of butchers' shops ami for the cleanliness of same. To provide for the disposal of waste refute and dirt from such butchers' shops, and io prevent nuisances arising therein; to prohibit butclurs' shops directly communicating with sleeping chambers, privies, and similar premises; to prescribe the clothing of shopmen and persons delivering meat and carcass meat-carriers, and to provide for the cleanliness of same. To prevent persons suffering from infectious or eruptive disease engaging in meat trade;' to provide for the cleanliness of vehicles and baskets used for the transport cr delivery of meat, and to prevent the contamination of meat in same; and to regulate the storage of meat in butchers' shops. To prescribe in ivhnt premises meat intended for sale for human, consumption may bo stored, and to provide for the cleanliness of such premises ami all utensils used therein; to prohibit persons from smoking or spotting whilst in butchers' shops, in premises where moat is stored, or whilst engaged in the transport or delivery of meat; to prescribe that all butchers' shops nnd premises used for the storage of meat intended for sale for liuninn consumption shall be made rat-proof; nnd to prohibit tho entrance of dogs into same. To prevent the exposure of meat for sale outside i shops. To provide the ventilation of butchers' shops and promises used for (lie storage of meat intended for sale for human consumption. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that tho said Resolution will l>o submitted for confirmation at tho Ordinary Meeting of tho Wellington City Council, to be held cu THURSDAY, tho 2nd May, 1912, at the COUNCIL CHAMBER, Town Hall, Cuba Street, Wellington, at 7.30 p.m., when the dote on which the said By-law will come into force will bo fixed. A full copy of tho By-law is deposited at tho-office of the Town Clerk to tho said Council at the Town Hall, Cuba Street, and may bo inspected thpro by all persons during the ordinary office hours.
